It just co-incides with your movement speed. The reason for this is the the map is scaled down compared to real Europe, so that the distances are actually shorter, while your speed is real speed. The factor is applied to the time to adapt the day&night-cycle and the clock and time-limits to the shorter distances. The Speed Limit Increase mod gives you a higher speed limit on the road compared to the default game. Currently, most cities have the same road speed limit rules for both cars and trucks, and your truck also has a speed limit of 110-140 km/h on motorways and toll roads, a speed limit of 80-130 km/h on expressways, 80–100 km/h. – Top speed for every semi-truck varies according to certain configurations and conditions (Euro maximum 90 km/h). – Trucks pulling some oversized loads will travel according to the displayed speed number on their trailers. – Top speed for every bus is 100 km/h.
